Integrity

This is the most important trait of a leader. Integrity is trust. I know what it is to stand the 0000 to 0800 PRO watch in Port Newark in the dead of winter. I have worked the long arduous hours of a watch standing Chief Mate with a 0320 wake up and ending the day at a 2000 relief. I have been in your shoes and know what you sacrifice. I will always put the membership first and you can trust in that.

Stability

Our pension plans and our Health & Benefit Plan
remain solid under the watchful eyes of our Union
Trustees. Our members lives rely on these plans. As a Union trustee I have and will continue to responsibly administer the plan for the future of your family and mine.

Progress

I believe our biggest asset as a organization is our superior quality Rank and File members. We are the experts in our respective fields. Growing up in our organization I was witness to this and was trained by some of the best. My number one priority is to grow our employer base and strengthen alliances with our partner unions that we work with on board everyday.

VP Atlantic Ports

It has been my honor to serve as your Vice President of Atlantic Ports for the past year and a half. There have been a great number of challenges since I took office during these unprecedented times. With every challenge, our membership has risen to the occasion. During the past year, the guidance that I have received from Captains Don Marcus, Don Josberger, and Steve Werse have been invaluable. They have set a course for success with a proven track record of professionalism and advocacy for our membership. I am asking for your support this election so I can continue the privileged work of improving our union, instilling unity, administering our contracts, and bargaining for a fair wage.

I am committed to our cause; all hands have been called and it’s time to Turn to!
